Be Original Photography

Visitors to our website don’t see much of Bre or I so now is your chance to see behind the lens. This is my family (Emmy), taken by Bre when we were fortunate enough to spend Thanksgiving together.  We hastily dressed everyone and drove down the main street of town until we found the first white wall not in direct lighting and pulled into the tiny parking lot.  I drive a 12 passenger van, so we’re always a spectacle.  Behind this camera lens is a van full of cousins watching and mocking us.  You can’t tell I’m snapping at my children to just BEHAVE and STAND STILL and SMILE and it will all be over with (while Bre is smiling pleasantly and enjoying herself because they’re not her kids). A few minutes after this shot, my baby pees her pants on the step of the van, resulting in her driving home bare bummed. Oh, but first we had to stop at the 7-Eleven to pay up on all the bribes we had to dole out for smiles.  In and out (plus a few couple shots and some random ones the kids wanted), 15 minutes tops!  A record!  Checked off for the year!

But doesn’t everyone look beautiful? You can hunt for the Christmas card we sent out this year. It’s on our card page and features this photo. I also made the cutest little gift tags from the same design that we attached to candy we made for neighbors and family. The goal is to have the tags on our site in time for next Christmas but, if that doesn’t happen, ask us about them! 🙂
